Past Award Recipients

Every day, Hubbard School alumni make important contributions not only to their individual workplaces but also society as a whole. Here are some of our most distinguished graduates.

"Hubbard Honors" on gold background

In 2025, the Hubbard School instituted a new annual event: Hubbard Honors, an alumni engagement and philanthropic event bringing together distinguished alumni, dedicated faculty, bright students and valued community members every fall. Hubbard Honors is an evening dedicated to celebrating those who are forging new paths and inspiring others along the way within the fields of journalism and strategic communication, honoring them with Above the Fold Awards, Pathfinder Awards and the Hubbard School Award for Excellence.

Later each fall, the Strategic Communication Hub also recognizes a prominent alum with the Aluminary Award at the Fall Forum.

Aluminary Award

The Aluminary Award is given out annually by the Hubbard School's Strategic Communication Hub and Master's in Strategic Communication Program. The award is a symbol of outstanding excellence, is a testament to the substantial impact one individual can have on the strategic communication profession, and acts as a reminder of the inspirational legacy left by the School’s esteemed alumni.

The 2025 Aluminary Award was presented to Dave Mona at the Fall Forum.

The award, first given in 1980, has been awarded to graduates of the School representing many different facets of the communications industry, including advertising, public relations, print journalism, broadcast journalism, photography and academia.
